A mid size operator is looking to appoint a Geologist for its London offices as it looks to meet 2010 targets. With an increased budget for 2010 this dynamic operator has considerable acreage that needs exploring, hence why they are looking to grow their exploration team. With increasing production rates in well established assets they are looking to re-invest heavily into exploring new acreage.

You will be charged with providing primary geological input to the exploration team and to generate new exploration plays/concepts that contribute to the finding of commercial quantities of oil and gas. You will play a prominent role in integrated field reviews to maximize exploitation value of assets.  You will need to have experience in reviewing and evaluating new ventures as and when required.

This role would be ideally suited to a professional who has 5-10 years working experience for a well known operator. Proven experience within North Sea exploration would be preferred for my client as you will play a prominent role in the exploration department. If you are looking to play an active role in small diverse subsurface team then this medium sized operator will be in a sound position to help you achieve your goals.
