This midsized operating company has a diverse spread of acreage across the world. They are renowned for investing heavily in target areas, both in terms of new ventures and internal resource. Over the years they have created overwhelming return on shareholders’ investment, which has shown in their ever-increasing production rates. Their heavily invested Norwegian subsidiary is now going through a period of sustained growth, and as such they are now seeking the expertise of a Senior Geophysicist.

As a suitable professional, you will slot into the multidisciplinary Exploration team. You will be responsible for prospect generation in operated acreage to include risking and ranking, as well as representing the company’s interests to JV partners in non-operated areas. Your technical work will revolve around 3D seismic interpretation, however you will also put forward recommendations for new seismic surveys, liaising with third party contractors for acquisition and processing QC.

Since the role is aimed at a Senior Geophysicist, you will have a minimum of 10 years industry experience with a well respected international operator. Previous Norwegian experience is not essential to the role however you will have strong experience in seismic interpretation, AVO analysis and sequence stratigraphy. Experience of regional studies and play assessment would be well regarded.
