A medium sized independent operator with a diverse range of assets across the globe is looking to add an experienced geophysicist to its HQ in London. They have recently invested heavily in acquiring new assets in the North Sea and with production starting very soon on several other assets they have money coming in, which they want to re-invest in future licensing rounds in the British North Sea. Their business model is set up to exploit proven assets that are unviable to other operators; this has proven very successful and has contributed to them becoming a significant player in the North Sea.

As a Senior Geophysicist you will play an integral role in a small team of subsurface experts to provide expert input into the full E&P lifecycle. You will be charged with 2D and 3D seismic interpretation of both operated and non-operated acreage in the company’s invested portfolio of interests. You will identify and rank drillable prospects, including evaluation for prospect interpretation and well location recommendation. As a senior figure you will play a pivotal part in license round application and license acquisition, so proven knowledge and experience in this process would be a considerable asset.

This role will ideally suit a professional with a minimum of 15 years experience working for an established E&P operator with proven knowledge of North Sea licensing rounds.
